Winter Essentials

Something occurred to me today as I was walking through that icy cold wind of Scotland is that maybe some people out there might want to know about life here and something's that we need to keep us sane (especially us girls). Well people I know that just walk out of there houses in the morning in just a t-shirt and jeans who most of us envy always seem to be ill, coughing or sore. I think it's there own fault. Living in Scotland I don't remember ever leaving the house without a jacket. actually recently I have been leaving the house with my handbag over flowing with essential things I need throughout the day. So I'm going to show you some of the things I use during a winter day.

                                                                            1.
Firstly I wake up to my alarm (song being 'love is on the radio' ~Mcfly) at 9am. I get up and put my fluffy bed socks on. I got mine from Primark for £2.50. I go get my breakfast, this winter I have been loving fat free Greek yogurt with frozen berries and butterscotch instant hot chocolate by options.

2.
At this point if you think your going to have a crappy day I would definitely treat yourself to a bath with a lush product of your choice (I can highly recommend lush is your best bet for the best bath products). After I have had my relaxing bath and feeling super ready for the day I go and wash and moisturise my face (i use Lancome gel elcat and Nivea soft moisturiser). Then do my make up and hair. *if you want me to do a video or blog post on my make up and hair routine email me or comment down below*

3.

I couldn't leave the house without my lip balm (currently from the body shop in strawberry), pack of pocket tissues, gloves and a small umbrella. I have to wear a good comfortable pair of boots (mine are from Clarks)
because I have a tendency to land in puddles and get soaked to the bone don't lie you do this too.

4.
In my handbag i always have to have some cough sweets, mints, mobile, purse, small bottle of water, notepad and pen, bobbles, bobby pins, and some sensibly sized make up products.

5.

I can't go through a day without listening to music (I don't think anyone can). I'm slightly obsessed with John Mayer just now. I have been listening to his album Paradise Valley and it been on repeat all week.

I hope this might have been helpful for you. Remember to smile even if you feel things can't get better they always will. I love you. Have a good life, things always change and stay tuned for more (hopefully) beneficial stories and advice.

Traveling

I have just returned home from a 9 hour car journey which I have to say went extremely slowly. I found my self skipping the date along in candy crush to get more lives (I know sad right). This is where my truthful side comes in. I admit I'm a big technology freak I get addicted to games, consoles and basically anything with a screen. Those things are good to a certain extent but I find if I have spent more than 2 hours stuck on a screen I get angry, tired and a sore neck and head. I'm not going to sit here saying 'stop looking at screens they are bad for you' because I don't believe they are bad for you. I do think you have to take a break and calm down and maybe go back to basics. Maybe pack some books, mini board games and a note pad and pen you never know you might want to actually use them.

There are a few things I find impossible to resist in car journeys; fatty foods, costa coolers and chocolate! My number one tip is do not pack unhealthy foods in the picnic bag! foods such as mini cocktail sausages, maltesers and mini muffins. I'm not going to lie these things are tasty but is it worth it when you start feeling dodgy in the middle of the journey. Grapes, crackers, water bottles and sandwiches will always be the best choice and maybe if its an extra long journey some individual packets of crisps. This way everyone gets the same amount of everything (so no arguments in the back of the car) and no one will drink too much water or fizzy juice that you have to stop at the service station every 20 minutes.
So there you have it some of the important things  I picked up on in my boring journey home that might help you from being as bored and bloated as I was.

The Truth of Life

I don't consider myself very interesting but if I did I guess that would make me uninteresting. All our lives we are trying to impress people, why? they are no way better that ourselves. Do we really need the big branded clothes? No. We buy them to make us feel better, impressive but in the end after a few days we feel the same as before, just like everyone else. One cold day in October I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed when I came across a video named "This video will change your  life", to be honest I believed it was a vine of some sort but it was a normal timed video.

This video will change your life

After I watched this video I made a promise with myself that every morning I would watch it to make me remember how big a difference I can make. I may sound really sad to think that one video really brought me to feel like I was no less than anybody else. just remember tomorrow is a new day just believe in yourself and make someone's day. If you made it to the end of this I really appreciate it and I hope you have a happy and joyful day.
