Traveling

I have just returned home from a 9 hour car journey which I have to say went extremely slowly. I found my self skipping the date along in candy crush to get more lives (I know sad right). This is where my truthful side comes in. I admit I'm a big technology freak I get addicted to games, consoles and basically anything with a screen. Those things are good to a certain extent but I find if I have spent more than 2 hours stuck on a screen I get angry, tired and a sore neck and head. I'm not going to sit here saying 'stop looking at screens they are bad for you' because I don't believe they are bad for you. I do think you have to take a break and calm down and maybe go back to basics. Maybe pack some books, mini board games and a note pad and pen you never know you might want to actually use them.

There are a few things I find impossible to resist in car journeys; fatty foods, costa coolers and chocolate! My number one tip is do not pack unhealthy foods in the picnic bag! foods such as mini cocktail sausages, maltesers and mini muffins. I'm not going to lie these things are tasty but is it worth it when you start feeling dodgy in the middle of the journey. Grapes, crackers, water bottles and sandwiches will always be the best choice and maybe if its an extra long journey some individual packets of crisps. This way everyone gets the same amount of everything (so no arguments in the back of the car) and no one will drink too much water or fizzy juice that you have to stop at the service station every 20 minutes.
So there you have it some of the important things  I picked up on in my boring journey home that might help you from being as bored and bloated as I was.
